I've been sorta thinking of trying something new when I get a little more free time. Most likely winter break. I was thinking of maybe trying out sculpey or Fimo clay, or something along those lines. But fer my first project, I'm not entirely sure what I wanna make (probably not a tree though -too many wire supports) What do you guys think I should try my hand at sculpting?
I also wanna make a leather bound sketchbook, and a set of bamboo arrows...
-There's just so much I wanna do... D:

How much is YOUR hour worth?
What's the line between satisfactory for you, the maker, and decent for the buyer?
I find it's always do difficult to price my own work. I mean, that selfish part inside of me wants to set the highest value possible, while the more modest (or maybe realistic) part insists that no one in their right mind would buy anything from me (who is pretty much a nobody in the art world) unless it was dirt cheap. Finding that happy medium between the two has caused me a lot of dissonance. The battle between the greedy and the modest is constantly changing, as one day I'm justifying a high price, while maybe an hour or so later, the value drops tenfold.
NEW SCANNER! :D
It's so beautiful. All black and sleek, and the scanner part is sized for legal paper, so it's larger than just regular printer paper. I can now use (some of) my oddly shaped art-papers that I used to have to fold, scrunch, and fudge on my old scanner! :D Ah, I'm so excited. It's so very tempting to just scan everything I own and upload it all in one disorganized mass of junk, and spend several hours pushing the touchscreen buttons and making paper piles. But I don't think you'd all particularly enjoy that... I think I'll just limit myself to a couple of images...
No longer will you have to suffer with blurry, grainy, unclear cell phone pic
D: Just a Forewarning
My scanner recently decided that it didn't want to save scans on my thumb-drive anymore, so... the resolution of my newer deviations are gonna suck, seeing as I don't have a functioning digital camera either...
Yeah... technology hates me... >.
Feathery Stuffs for School :D
I dunno if anyone's interested, but I've been makin' a whole menagerie of feathery stuffs to pay for my tuition and textbook costs. I'm going to CSUSB for now, and am a bio major -and hoping to transfer in a few years to pursue micro and marine biology, to eventually work in the field. So needless to say, I'll be in school for a while.
I've been making everything from earrings, to bracelets, to chokers, to hat bands, so if anyone's relatively interested, let me know, and I'll post a couple of pictures to give you an idea of what I've got. I'm also very willing to do custom orders, so dun be shy if you don't see what you want, or have somethi

Ah yes, so much to do, so little time I think that you should go for an early morning or late afternoon walk and take inspiration from what you see, hear, smell and feel as you walk. Let your creative juices flow and simply sculpt your emotion. You could do a pot with an intricate design on it. Keep it simple and let it flow, changing as you work into something truly unique
